7.JIREUGI = PUNCHING | |
When jireugi is performed, the fist will start at the waist and will be go straight tot he target. | |
This technique can be performed with Ap-Joomeok, Pyon-Joomeok and Bam-Joomeok. | |
There are several possibilities as it comes to the direction of the punch: | |
Bandae Jireugi | To the front (reversed tot he back leg) punch 1 |
Baro Jireugi | Tot the front (equal tot he back leg) punch 1 |
Yeop Jireugi | Sideway punch 7 |
Dollyeo Jireugi | Circling punch (at the end of the movement, teh arm has an angle of 90 degrees) |
Dwit Jireugi | Punch backward (over the shoulder) |
Naeryo Jireugi | Downward punch (f.i. towards the fallen opponent) |
Dangyo Jireugi | Upward punch with Jeochyo Joomeok 8 |
P.S. When performing puches tot he front instead of Oen and Oreun (left and right punch), the indications Bandae and Baro are used. | |
Furthermote, ther are differences int he shape of the fist: | |
Jeochyo Jireugi | Reversed fist (back of the hand down) 7 |
Eopeun Jireugi | Horizontal fist (back of the hand up) |
P.S. When the punch is performed with ‘Ap-Joomeok’, the indication ‘Ap-Joomeok’ is not used. Also the indication “Eopeun” is not used. | |
